Our Optometrist will inspect your eyes for UV damage during your eye exam. UV damage from the sun contributes to the development of cataract and macular degeneration. Sun damage can also cause cancerous growths on the eye and eyelids, especially living in Queensland.  A regular eye exam can detect early sun damage for treatment.  Everyone should protect their eyes by wearing sunglasses when outdoors.
