Practicing in ophthalmology sub-specialty settings for over three decades, Julie has significant clinical experience in the diagnosis and management of eye diseases including ocular surface, dry eye and corneal disease, vitreo-retinal disease, glaucoma and diabetic eye disease. Julie also is experienced in the management of oculoplastic, cataract and keratorefractive surgery patients, and in all aspects of general vision and eyecare.

Julie’s PhD has equipped her with an extensive clinical research and publication record in the dry eye, tear film and the ocular surface field. She had a pivotal role in the development of Optimel Manuka Dry Eye Drops and several other regulatory approved Antibacterial Manuka Honey products for eyecare, nasal and sinus care.

In addition, Julie is available for comprehensive ocular health and vision care assessments and acute red and sore eye and emergency eyecare.
